Time for Reflection: Pricing Model and Job Volume Momentum

At Timber Warriors, our responsibility is to balance the realities of the field with the expectations of the markets we operate in. That balance isn’t static. As conditions change, the pricing model must evolve to remain fair, defensible, and sustainable for the companies doing the work.

Earlier this year, we implemented pricing model adjustments intended to better align with insurer requirements and claim review standards. While those changes were made in good faith, real-world execution and direct feedback from our Members showed that certain line items did not fully reflect the true cost, risk, and complexity of professional tree work.

We’re not interested in forcing a model that doesn’t work in practice. When data and experience tell a different story, we listen. That’s why we’re revisiting pricing with a more deliberate, member-informed approach—one that accounts for labor realities, equipment costs, and regional variability.

Timber Warriors is asking members to participate in a pricing survey focused on specific line items and real-world job scenarios. This input is essential to refining our pricing structure and ensuring it reflects actual conditions crews face in the field. Member responses will directly influence how updated pricing is developed, helping us create rates that are defensible to carriers, yet workable.

These upcoming pricing changes are not about lowering standards or chasing volume. They’re about building a framework that supports long-term profitability, consistency, and trust across the Network. When pricing reflects reality, everyone benefits—from contractors in the field to partners relying on dependable outcomes.
