Time for Reflection: Pricing Model and Job Volume Momentum
Insurance Claims Were Down in 2025
Many Members have asked why job volume felt lighter this year, especially compared to previous storm seasons. The short answer is simple: there were fewer major weather events that typically drive large insurance claim volumes.
Across the country, 2025 was an unusually calm year for storms that cause widespread property damage. There were no major hurricanes making landfall in the continental U.S., fewer large-wind events, and less severe winter weather. When these storms don’t occur, insurance carriers receive fewer claims—and that means fewer emergency job assignments.
This slowdown wasn’t isolated to Timber Warriors. It affected carriers, adjusters, and contractor networks nationwide. In years with major storms, work ramps up quickly and spreads across regions. In quieter years, activity becomes more localized and inconsistent.
While slower periods are challenging, they are also part of the natural cycle of storm response work. Historically, calmer years are often followed by more active ones, and weather patterns can shift quickly with little notice. Timber Warriors continues to stay engaged with insurance partners and prepare for when conditions change.
We appreciate your patience and professionalism during a quieter season and remain focused on positioning the Network for future opportunities as activity returns.
